Newton's First Law

The last few weeks have really pushed me around emotionally, and as a result taken a toll on me physically. According to the scale I've lost two pounds, but that's likely two pounds of muscle considering the limited exercise regimen I've been on. And now I have the all clear to resume regularly scheduled programming. And yet I'm still a little sloth-like.

I'm totally full of contradictions right now, and I realize that, but somehow Newton's Laws of Motion are in effect. I need that push to move from being "an object at rest" to "an object in motion". I claim to be sad that my racing season is over. Yet, there's a medium-long distance race in mid-October I could do, the Brierman Triathlon, but it will require some work in the next five weeks since I know the course is hilly and the water will be chilly. So far, I haven't exactly gotten out the door for that. Maybe this weekend? Set a starting line for myself and just say that moving forward from that point on, it's back into a life of physical activity and health?

How have I done this before - overcome the laws of physics? surely it can be done.
